1997 Labor Day Association History
The theme for 1997 is “UNIONs Inherting the Past – Building the Future”.
We will have a 1 hour TV Show on Channel 7 featuring the Parade.
D & P Amusements of Newburgh, Indiana will provide the Carnival Rides.
We will not have a party after the Celebration as in the past, but will instead feed the volunteers during the set up week; lunch and supper.
Parade Grand Marshall was Bobby Joe Smith, past Labor Day President.
Diamond Tees of Evansville, Indiana will do Volunteers T-shirts and American Advertising of Boonville, Indiana will do the Commemorative T-shirts.
Mike Faries will do photos and Larry Coland will do video for Celebration.
Market & Company of Evansville, Indiana will place all the Radio & TV ads for the Celebration.
Labor Day Association dues are $2.00 per working member.
