1990 Labor Day Association History
Dues for Labor Day Association will be $2.00 per member.
Fiesta Midway & Rides of Corydon, Indiana will have the Carnival Rides.
Motion made not to lend, lease or loan any of Labor Day Association assets.
IBEW Local # 16 donated 43 commercial Spots on local radio stations.
GMP # 72 is on strike against Booths Manufacturing of Evansville, Indiana.
UMWA # 1189 daughters of Mother Jones will put on Little Miss & Mister Pageants.
Baron Hill & Cecil Roberts will be the 2 featured speakers on Labor Day.
Parade Grand Marshall was Indiana LT. Governor Frank O’Bannon.
The Theme will be; “Union Yes”‘
ABGWIU Local # 104 PAC donated $200 to help with the Go Kart Races
UMWA # 1189 won the “UNION Heat ” in the Demo Debry.
Paula Faries did the Pageant stage for all to enjoy.
Marilyn Moore was in charge of making the “Union Yes” Banner for the stage.
Walters Shoe Mart & Red Wing Shoe Stores will sponsor Washer Toss & Horse Shoe Pitch.
Arm Bender Contest is sponsored by TSF.
A motion was made to buy 300 commemorative t-shirts and 100 Volunteer T-shirts.
Labor Day Association Dues are $2.00 per working Member.
The theme was “America Works Best When We Say Union Yes”
