1948 Labor Day Association History
Weather – Rained
Attendance – 10,000
The Celebration will be covered by Warner Brothers Pathe News cameramen on Sept. 5 and 6, 1948.
Decorations were designed by William A. Fread and sons of Terrs Haute, Indiana.
Blue Grass State Shows will be on the midway.
Kay Kaiser will have the Free Acts.
Bands playing over the Celebration, Boonville High School Band, Oakland City High School Band, Princeton High School Band, Campella According Band and Jimmy Derris String Band.
A new automible will be awarded immediately after the Free Acts on Monday Night
Free admission to fairgrounds plus plenty of Free ice water
