2014 Labor Day Association History
Weather was Warm & Bright
The theme was “Unions the Folks who Brought you the Weekend”
Grand Marshall – Indiana U.S. Senator, Joe Donnelly
Fran Quigley Professor of Law at Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana was our Featured Speaker on Sunday.
Steve Shofstall was the Labor Day Photographer.
The Mac Group of Evansville, Indiana placed all our advertising for Radio and TV.
American Advertising of Boonville, Indiana did both the Commemorative and Volunteers T-Shirts.
Labor Day Association Dues were $2.00 per working member.
Warrick Publishing again produced an event Brochure that was handed out.
Phillips Signs of Evansville, Indiana did the arena signs for the Celebration.
Labor Day Association dues were again $2.00 per working member.
No Carnival Rides were on the fairgrounds this year as we couldn’t reach a contract agreement with our previous vendor. The Association instead provided inflatables for the enjoyment of our guests. Also we provided several different bands for the enjoyment of those attending. We billed the weekend as a “Weekend of Music, Food and Free Inflatables.”
