2000 Labor Day Association History
President Charlie Wyatt met with Donnie Walker and Gary Fritz to set up a website for the Labor Day Association.
Donnie Walker is the Web Master and Gary Fritz has a a lot of Labor Day information, a must when trying to preserve our Labor Day History.
The address is www.labordayassoc.com–we had to use this address as ” Labor Day Association” is owned by a investment group and they wanted $70,000 to own it.
We plan to put all the information we can on the website so everyone can have access to it. This will allow our members to know their past.
We plan to also include the schedule of events and the entry forms to our events for your easy access.
D & P Amusement of Newburgh, Indiana will provide the Carnival Rides.
Julie Shofstaff will be the Labor Day Photographer.
Parade Grand Marshall was Indiana Governor Frank O’Bannon.
Karen Vuranch portrayed “Mother Jones” and was our guest speaker on Sunday afternoon.
American Advertising of Boonville, Indiana did the Commemorative & Volunteer T-Shirts.
Labor Day Association dues are $2.00 per working member.
Market & Company will place the Radio & TV commercials for the Celebration.
The theme was “American Works Best When We Say Union Yes”
