1996 Labor Day Association History
D & P Amusements of Newburgh, Indiana will provide the Carnival Rides.
Diamond Tees of Evansville, Indiana will do the Commemorative T-Shirts & hats and the Volunteer T-Shirts.
The theme is “Labor’s Fix for 1996 – VOTE”.
We will have a 1 hour TV Show on Channel 7 featuring the Parade, it will air on 9-15-96 at 5:00pm.
The David Allen Coe concert will be on Friday night.
Mike Faries will do the photos for the Celebration.
Larry Coland will do the video for the Celebration.
Cecil Roberts UMWA International President was the Featured Speaker.
Parade Co-Grand Marshalls were Cecil Roberts UMWA International President, Roger Myers UMWA International Executive Board Member and Indiana LT. Governor Frank O’Bannon.
The 163rd Field Artillery will fire off a field cannon to start the Celebration on Friday night.
Market & Company will place all the Radio & TV ads for the Celebration.
Labor Day Association dues are $2.00 per working member.
