1953 Labor Day Association History
Parade Marshall was Mertis Underhill.
Carnival Rides were provided by The Thomas Joyland Shows.
The main speakers were Indiana 8th District Congressman-D. Bailey Merrill, Charles Ferguson of the UMWA International Office and George Doupe of the Indiana State Farm Bureau.
Parade will form at 10:00am at the Miners Hall on South Third Street. From there it will move North on Third Street to Main Street then West to First Street, Finally turning North to the Fairgrounds.
